Only a few stones in every river harvest carry bold, naturally formed mineral markings: lines that resemble Lord Shiva's holy tilak, a crescent moon, or a Jyotirlinga flame of light. These are set aside as our Rare Markings collection. The markings are mineral veins deep inside the stone; hand-polishing only brings out their natural lustre. Because every piece is divine and one-of-a-kind, we share photos and video of the exact stone on WhatsApp before dispatch.
As a natural stone, each piece varies slightly in colour, shape and markings. That uniqueness is part of its sacredness.

- Choose a clean, peaceful spot facing east or north, and place the Shivling in its jalhari with the spout facing north.
- Narmadeshwar Shivlings are considered self-manifested (swayambhu), so no prana-pratishtha is needed — you may begin worship straight away.
- Bathe and light a diya. Offer jal abhishek with clean water while chanting "Om Namah Shivaya".
- On Mondays and special days, perform panchamrit abhishek (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar), then rinse with water.
- Offer bilva leaves (three-leaf, unbroken), white flowers, sandalwood paste and akshat. Avoid offering turmeric, kumkum or tulsi to the Shivling.
- Close with aarti and a few moments of silent prayer. Wipe the Shivling dry with a soft cloth.

Care
- Bathe the Shivling with clean water after every abhishek and wipe it dry with a soft cotton cloth.
- Avoid soap, chemical cleaners and abrasive scrubbers. They can dull the natural sheen.
- Place it on a jalhari or cloth, not directly on hard stone floors, to avoid chips.
